About
Dr Nishmi Gunasingam is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist with extensive experience in both public and private practice. She is committed to providing exceptional care for patients with digestive and liver conditions, with particular expertise in managing complex cases and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Dr Nishmi looks forward to working collaboratively with you to provide excellent patient care.
Dr Nishmi completed her gastroenterology training at St Vincent's Hospital and St George Hospital, Sydney. Most recently, she spent the last five years as a consultant gastroenterologist at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, where she also established Regional GI, a busy private practice servicing the Riverina.
She undertook an advanced fellowship at King's College Hospital, London, developing subspecialty expertise in endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of complex lesions.
Dr Nishmi has published research in international peer-reviewed journals including NEJM Evidence, and has previously served as a Local Examiner for the RACP. She is committed to teaching medical students through the University of New South Wales and Notre Dame University.

This is a private practice; we do not bulk bill. Pensioners are offered a subsidised rate, and any instance of financial hardship is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
